Res. Asst. Prof. Özge Balcı
Özge Balcı completed her PhD in Metallurgical and Materials Department at İstanbul Technical University on the mechanochemical synthesis, sintering and characterization techniques of metal borides. During her PhD studies, she continued her studies on the development of novel composite materials by powder metallurgy techniques at IFW Dresden, Germany. During her postdoctoral studies, she has stayed long periods as a visiting scientist at Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids, Dresden, Germany. Her current research interests include the synthesis of functional boride nanoparticles, investigation of magnetic and catalytic properties of binary/ternary boride compounds, and development and characterization of novel micro/nanocomposites.
