Melis Aktürk Aktaş obtained her Bachelor's degree from the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department at Middle East Technical University. Her Master’s was under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Umut Aydemir in the Materials Science and Engineering department at Koç University. During her M.Sc. studies, she focused on the synthesis and characterization of thermoelectric phosphide materials. In addition to her academic career, she has 5 years of work experience in the private sector in material processing and R&D.
