Information

Asst. Prof. Umut Aydemir completed his Ph.D. in Chemistry at the Max Plack Institute for Chemical Physics in Solids, Dresden, Germany. He then continued his post-doctoral studies at the California Institute of Technology and Northwestern University for four years. Dr. Aydemir’s current research interests include the synthesis and characterization of new functional nano and bulk materials, band structure engineering of materials, investigation of electronic and thermal transport in solids, renewable and sustainable energy solutions, and enhancing energy efficiency.
