Asst. Prof. Erkan Şenses received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Boğaziçi University in (Istanbul, Türkiye) and Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Stanford University (CA, USA). He received his PhD degree in Materials Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology (NJ, USA) and completed his postdoctoral training at NIST Center for Neutron Research & University of Maryland (MD, USA). He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Koç University (Istanbul, Turkey) and the head of the ‘Soft and Active Materials Lab’ since 2018. His research interests are in the fields of physics and applications of soft matter, specifically polymers, nanocomposites, lipid membranes; rheology; X-ray and neutron scattering.
